Just in time for Halloween, Boneyard Racers will be coming to audiences worldwide on broadcast television and streaming services in 99 countries. The film will be seen on media platforms such as ShortsTV, DirecTV, Prime Video, Google Fiber, AT&T Uverse, Rakuten TV, PlutoTV, Hotwire, Telenet, Samsung TV Plus, SBB, LG Channels and more depending on location.

Earlier this year Boneyard Racers was noticed by the acquisition team at ShortsTV who contacted Producer Preston Ewasiuk at Brimstone Pictures to distribute the film worldwide. The film was recommended to ShortsTV by Tommy Faircloth who operates the highly respected Crimson Screen Horror Film Festival where Boneyard Racers won a Best Cinematography Award.

The film is about a teen couple, Sam and Jackie, who accidentally stumble upon a ghoulish party on Halloween night, they’re challenged by the devilish Johnny to a supernatural drag race. This is the premise behind BONEYARD RACERS, a horror-inspired fantasy short which has won 21 film awards the world over, despite being made on shoestring budget during the pandemic.

Starring Thomas Kassian (Noise, Hot Box) and Ryley Shandro (Rutherford Manor), written by and co-starring Neil Chase (Broken, John 316), directed by and co-starring David Heacock (Ordinary Decent Criminal, Hyde), also co-starring Lindsay Christopher (Father of Nations, Gone by Dawn 2: Dead by Dusk) and produced by Preston Ewasiuk (Rutherford Manor, Babageddon), the team set out to create a truly unique world in BONEYARD RACERS.  With cinematography by Logan and Philip Wilson (Bagman, Bagman Rising), and a soundtrack provided by none other than Rockabilly sensation Punch Drunk Cabaret, who also appear in the film, it all combines for one hell of a ride!

From the Vegas Movie Awards, Crimson Screen, NOVA Fest, Motor City Nightmares, Hollywood Dreams, Bare Bones, Houston Horror Film Festival and many more, BONEYARD RACERS racked up wins and nominations for everything from Best Cinematography, Best Soundtrack, Best Horror, Best Fantasy, Best Action, and even Acting and Directing honors – capped by a Best Short (Alberta) Award in the film team’s own backyard at the Oscar-qualifying Edmonton International Film Festival!

“We are so grateful for all the love BONEYARD RACERS has received from festivals and fans alike, and it really helped to raise interest for the film. We are thrilled to share it with the world!” – David Heacock / Director

One common response for BONEYARD RACERS was that many viewers and festival judges felt it was too short and should be expanded into a feature. Writer Neil Chase took their words to heart. “I put pen to paper and wrote a feature based on the short. It’s been well received and has already won a couple of screenwriting contests, including at Hollywood Horrorfest and 13Horror.com. It’s definitely on our to-make list!”  The team behind Boneyard Racers are actively working towards taking this exciting premise to the next level and are already working towards expanding the concept into a feature film.

Get ready for some supernatural horsepower this Halloween on the dark streets of Boneyard Racers!
