Edmonton based band, Revolution Engine, opens for Black Stone Cherry and Steel Panther… and F@#!ing nails it!

The 100.3 The Bear’s Halloween Howler was back and it was… AWESOME! After taking a couple years off due to the pandemic, the traditional Halloween gig came back bringing some killer bands to kick things off again. One of those bands was Edmonton-based, Revolution Engine, who was the opener and really set the bar and energy levels for Black Stone Cherry and Steel Panther to take over.

Revolution Engine is an absolute machine of a band. Bringing out some hard rock elements of slick grooves and grinding riffs and combining some heavy rap lyricism, (think Rage Against The Machine or Linkin Park), they are one of those bands that packs a serious punch into both their messaging and performances.

Inspired by making a difference and promoting things like mental health awareness, this hard rock/rap rock band prides themselves as being a voice for the voiceless. If you listen to their songs, you will be able to find some deep rooted relations and positively engaging movements, where instead of protesting with rage, you are ready to take some constructive actions. Their songs are about promoting conversation and being conscious of the things that affect us in life that tend to get looked over, swept under the rug or are too taboo to bring up normally.

A really interesting element of the show was how Revolution Engine was about bringing power to the people through their music, and then that got flipped on its head when Steel Panther came on stage slamming on about their infamous sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll shtick. This concert definitely had layers of entertainment from start to finish and all high quality, making it a memorable night and a fantastic way to bring the traditions of the Howler back to life.

While Revolution Engine does not have any performances listed right now, I would highly recommend you to check out their Facebook or Instagram, to stay in touch and see what they are up to next. OR if you are looking at hiring a killer, professional high-performance band, click HERE!
